I wish there were more homozygous available. The problem is in order to get the production "numbers" required to get a bull into stud, you need to mate these polled cows back to horned bulls and hope for a polled son. The studs pay based on the "numbers" and therefore the financial incentive is to use the top of the top bulls in the matings, which are mostly horned.
There are a few of us breeders that are trying for homozygous. The Key Lingo-PP bull at Taurus looks promising. I have 3 young bulls that might be homozygous (I am awaiting genomic confirmation on #43 North-P). I have not received any inquiries from any studs on those 3 but I plan on using them on my own heifers before selling them to other breeders.
I think if there is strong demand for Key Lingo-PP, then we will see more interest from the studs. I've bought 20 units of Key Lingo-PP and used 12 so far.
